FAQ

Answers to common questions.

What is this?

A fast, private file hosting service built on Cloudflare. Upload files, get shareable links.

Do I need an account?

Depends on the instance. Some instances are invite-only and require an account. On open instances, anonymous uploads are supported but expire after 30 days. Creating an account gives you permanent storage, a dashboard, and download tracking.

What's the max file size?

100 MB per file. This is a hard limit enforced at upload time.

How long are files kept?

Anonymous uploads expire after 30 days. Registered users can mark files as permanent, which keeps them indefinitely.

What file types are blocked?

Executable files (.exe, .bat, .cmd, .msi, .scr, etc.), scripts (.ps1, .vbs, .js), and system files (.dll, .sys, .drv) are blocked for security reasons.

Is there a rate limit?

Yes. Uploads are rate-limited to prevent abuse. The default is 20 uploads per hour per IP address.

How do invite codes work?

When the instance is invite-only, you need a valid invite code to create an account. Invite codes are single-use and generated by admins or existing users (if enabled).

Can I use Discord to sign in?

Yes. You can sign up and log in with Discord OAuth. If the instance is invite-only, you'll be asked for an invite code after Discord authentication.

What is two-factor authentication?

You can enable TOTP-based 2FA in your settings. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a 6-digit code from your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) when signing in.

Can I share files with a direct link?

Yes. Every uploaded file gets a unique URL you can share with anyone. You can also generate public share links from your dashboard.

Is my data private?

We don't run third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 and served from their global CDN. See our privacy policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in your dashboard. Account deletion removes all your files and data permanently.

Where is the data stored?

Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible object storage). Account data and metadata are stored in Cloudflare D1 (edge SQLite). Everything runs on Cloudflare's global network.

Is this open source?

The project is built with Next.js, Cloudflare Pages, R2, and D1. Check with the instance operator for source availability.
